A thing called Coronavirus has changed various aspects of life and living all around the world.
Earth is on a lock down for the most part. And here we are humans, with dramatically changed schedules.
Many work from home. All members of the family are under one roof.
Bringing families together is probably one of the few positive outcomes of this Covid-19 outbreak.
While it could be really frustration to stay away from many things that we were doing everyday, we should try and embrace the situation.
And in fact, it is not at all that bad. We can get used to the new “schedule”, rework things and relish every moment being together as a family.
Here are some interesting and useful things to do while on a lock-down so you don’t get mad or frustrated.
#1 Exercise

Now that you are locked down, you cannot go out to public gyms or parks where you can workout.
But that doesn’t mean you can skip exercising altogether during this lock down period.
In one of the previous videos, I have explained the importance of exercise as well as shared what you should do to improve your immunity during the Covid-19 pandemic.

You don’t need anything fancy. You can absolutely workout at your home with the props available.
And there are loads of YouTube videos to help you!
#2 Have fun

When the family is together it is time to have fun.
While the adults will be having their own share of household and office work, it is very important to take breaks and have fun.
As you cannot move out of the house for any relaxation activity, working all the time indoors can take a toll on your physical and mental health.
So it is highly crucial that you come together and have fun.
You can play indoor games, puzzles, draw and color together, do activities like origami, stories and what not.
#3 Have a schedule
Just because you don’t have to go to work, college or school, it doesn’t mean you can mess up with the schedule.
Being in a schedule is highly crucial to keep things in control while in a lockdown.
Without a schedule you will mess up with many things – right from eating on time to getting things done to being sane!
Even though a little bit of sleeping in is OK, make sure you respect your biological clock.
Go to bed almost at the same time, and eat in time as well.
#4 Learn skills

While in a lock down, you have more time on hands.
If you have been putting off learning a new skill or a language or something else, it is time now.
You can take up online courses on the same.
#5 Schedule no-screen and me times

We have good access to screens while at home. Plus some of us have work to do on a laptop or a phone.
This means we are tied to the screens most of the time. And while we are bored, we tend to watch movies, or play games again on a screen.
So it is very crucial that you schedule time without screens and digitally unplug!
During this time do relaxation activities like reading a book, listening to music, taking a nap and the like.
#6 Work on producing and storing food

Being in a lock down means, you cannot be lavishly using up the resources you have. It is also important that you do your bit on producing some, if you can.
If you have a bit of a garden space, you can plant outdoors. If not, you can do indoor gardening as well.
Sprouts, Onions, Tomatoes, Chillies, and the like can be grown either indoors or outdoors.
In addition, gardening is a great relaxing activity.
Similarly do your bit to plan and store food appropriately for longer shelf life. Pickling, making dry versions, freezing etc. are a few options.
#7 Get those long pending stuff done

It can be anything from cleaning to fixing.
If you have been putting it off because you were busy, this is the right time to get it done.
Make sure you involve kids in the activity too (with safety precautions, as necessary) and get it done!
Without proper planning and a mindset, being on a lockdown can take a toll on your physical and mental health.
On the one hand, it is very important that you make good use of this ample time on hand to do useful and interesting things.
On the other hand, it is very important that you treat yourself right do as many relaxing and self care activities so you don’t get frustrated or mad about this lockdown schedule.
Above all, be positive and stay positive.
It is very important that you have to save this world just by staying indoors.
It is a golden opportunity to have a lot of time and family together.
Make the most out of it.
